What we do
We provide bespoke policy advice through to implementable solutions on leakage management, water resources planning, water conservation, demand forecasting, network and asset management.
We are a multi-disciplinary team with renowned experts in statistics, data science and the water industry. We bring a wide range of skills, knowledge, perspective, experience and personality to each project we undertake.
How we work
We work by combining data science and water industry expertise to solve complex problems. We take time to understand what clients want to achieve. We follow a process to ensure that we deliver the required solution. We then provide and communicate the outputs in a clear and understandable way.
Shana is a director of Artesia and our Principal Statistician. She applies a wide range of statistical modelling and analysis techniques to water sector challenges. Shana jointly heads up our extensive data science team.
Sarah combines a deep understanding of water demand with an insightful approach to data science. Sarah jointly heads up our extensive data science team.
Graduate Data Scientist
Rob is a graduate data scientist with an MSc in Artificial Intelligence. He has applied his statistical and modelling skills to a number of our recent projects to provide insight and demand forecasts.
Rob is a director and co-owner of Artesia. He has over 25 years’ experience in the technical delivery, management and direction of water resource planning, water efficiency and hydrology projects.
Becky is our HR and office manager. As well as ensuring everything runs smoothly, her skills and experience in recruitment help us find and employ some really valuable staff.
Kayleigh is our projects and resources manager. She performs the vital role of keeping track of who is working on what, and ensuring that resources are planned and scheduled properly.
Jamie is a data engineer with experience in a wide range of data platforms. Experienced in Python he has worked on a number of our projects in Azure Databricks and AWS.
Giles is a senior consultant specialising in water demand and leakage management. More to follow!
Francesca is a data scientist with background in hydrology and spatial statistics. Her background in academia and work with European organisations allows her to provide a different perspective to some of the challenges that we solve.
Dene is a founder, director and co-owner of Artesia. He is a leading expert in the management and analysis of water use and leakage and applies nearly 30-years of experience to the water management challenges we face today.
Daniele Di Fiore
Dan is a data scientist and programmer with a passion for data visualisation and Shiny Apps. He often takes a lead in operationalising our data analysis and modelling routines.
Daniel Adanza Dopazo
Dani is a KTP Associate working with us from Exeter University on an InnovateUK funded project to develop machine learning tools to improve leakage targeting and reduction.
Cristina is a data scientist who has been a key part of our eVader development work and who has a track record in creating powerful, insightful statistical models that describe the relationships between water use and its drivers.
Graduate Data Scientist
Basil is a Graduate Data Scientist Basil is a graduate data scientist, and is one of the most recent additions to Artesia's growing team. He has a mathematics degree from the University of Cambridge from which he brings to the team a broad range of statistical and modelling skills.
Alan is an experienced and creative modeller who brings his insight as a practical water network specialist to metering, demand forecasting, fast logging and leakage analysis projects.
